Veganz Group reached an agreement with Jindilli Beverage for shea products from German plant food companies.

Under the agreement covers North America, Australia and New Zealand, vegetarians will produce Milik oats and almond Alt-Milk beverages at the Ludwigsfelde facility in Germany.

It will export a two-liter retail package in Tetra Pak format and a five-liter catering service package as well as a new creampie drop (a plant-based creamer alternative).

Of the 95% of 95% of sales at the Berlin headquarters, 95% comes from the Dutch markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Veganz added: “American production facilities based on shea technology are being planned.”

News of the deal comes at the same time as Vegetarian’s 2024 financial results and its 2025 outlook.

Sales in 2024 fell 34.2% to €100.8 million (USD 12.1 million). Vegans attributed the decline in sales to portfolio optimization measures and investment in new production facilities.

The company said the group focused on restructuring into a holding company, creating five business units under the brand - Veganz, Mililk, Happy Cheeze, Earth and Orbifarm.

Veganz's net loss was 4.8 million euros in 2024, up from 9.5 million euros in the previous year.

The company booked EBITDA to lose €2.4 million, compared with a loss of €6.3 million the previous year.

The company predicts sales will remain at the previous year's level in 2025, and is expected to keep EBITDA stable in 2024.

Veganz CEO Jan Bredack said: “In the challenging year of 2024, we continue to successfully drive the restructuring of Veganz Group and see further growth in production and sales and improvements in EBITDA.

“With our five new business units, we will obviously position ourselves in the future and assume that financing will be able to meet high market demand in 2025.”
