Gaza-style Cannes acidic membrane Fatma Hassona Doc boarded by Cercamon

International Sales Cercamon has gained global rights to the Gaza documentary “Put Your Soul on Your Soul” directed by Iran-French filmmaker Sepideh Farsi.

The documentary will premiere in the Acid Program at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

The feature provides an intimate, first-hand observation of life in the siege of Gaza through a video call between Portsey and young Palestinian photographer Fatma Hassona. Hassonner died in an Israeli missile strike at her home a day after the announcement of the film Cannes Film Festival.

Through the original shots and personal testimony, “put your soul on your hands and walk” during the conflict, through the perspective of a generation trapped in what the filmmakers call an endless cycle of war.

We are honored to represent this fundamental and urgent documentary and bring Fatma's voice to audiences around the world."

Farsi’s previous works include “Sirens” (Berlin), “Red Rose” (tiff) and “Tehran without permission” (Locarno), describing the origins of the project: “This movie is something I desperately need, and I desperately need to find out people who survived Gaza.
