Former President Biden's reactions after diagnosis of prostate cancer are pouring in

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle responded to the news on Sunday. Here is their opinion on Biden (82):

President Trump said in a truth-fact social position: "Melania and I regret to hear Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and our family and we hope Joe will recover quickly and successfully."

Former Vice President Kamala Harris said she and her husband Doug Emhoff were saddened to hear Biden’s diagnosis.

"Dr. Biden and his entire family have been in our hearts and prayers during this time, and we have kept him in our hearts and prayers," she wrote in a social media post. "Joe is a warrior-I know he will face this challenge with the same strength, resilience and optimism that has always defined his life and leadership. We hope to recover completely and quickly."

“Pray for former President Joe Biden while fighting prostate cancer,” House Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise said.

Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman said Biden is a fighter and will "be the upper hand."

Republican Senator Thom Tillis and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene both released Biden's diagnosis.

"I'm sorry to see this news. Cancer is really bad. My father died of cancer in 2021. Joe Biden and his family prayed," Green, a Georgia Republican and President Trump's staunch ally, wrote on X.

North Carolina Sen. Tillis said he was praying for Biden's full recovery.

California State Governor Gavin Newsom said his heart was with the former president and his family.

"A man with dignity, strength and compassion, like his due life, can lead a long and wonderful life. Send strength, healing and praying," Newsom said.

Meghan McCain's father, John McCain, died Fighting cancerdescribe the disease as "the absolute worst".

"It's really hell," she wrote in an article on social media. "Any family is very difficult for any family that has to be dealt with. Hope President Biden and his family heal, prayer, light and strength. I don't believe that such an era is suitable for politics."

Former President Barack Obama has not yet publicly responded to Biden's diagnosis. Vice President JD Vance has not issued a statement yet.
