Former NFL star Robert Griffin III responded to the spit between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, which took place Saturday afternoon during the Indiana Boom and the Chicago Sky game.
The temper was grumpy between Reese and Clark after the fever sharpshooter fouled in the sky. It was one of the biggest moments of Indiana's 93-58 blowout.

Griffin wrote on social media that the incident showed him something.
"After watching Caitlin Clark's blatant foul on Angel Reese and the Consequence, Angel Reese couldn't continue to lie, she didn't like Caitlin Clark," Griffin wrote. "I know what hatred looks like. Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark. Nor is it a hatred for basketball competition. Hate."
Clark and Reese have a major history that dates back to the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship.
Both players downplayed the incident.
Clark told ESPN's Holly Rowe after the third quarter that there was no "malice" behind the foul.

"It's just a good game in a basketball game. I'm not sure what the referees see to upgrade it, it depends on their discretion. Putting them on the free throw line is a foul. I've watched a lot of basketball in my life, and that's the truth. I'm not trying to do anything malicious. That's not the type of player I'm a player."
Reese said it was a "basketball game."
Fever head coach Stephanie White said when Clark fouled Rees, she thought it was "a clear game on the ball." But Captain Roy Gulbeyan said Clark pushed Reese with his left hand.
"Clark's foul meets the criteria of blatant foul 1, ends, hits and follows the criteria of reaching his left hand to Reese's back, which is considered to be a legal basketball game and therefore considered unnecessary contact," he told Pool Reporter. "After the foul, Aliyah had a physical taunt technique and a verbal technique on Reese, which offsets the issue."
