Former Cowboy LB Jaylon Smith tries with Raiders

The former Notre Dame hopes to continue his career with the attention of Pete Carroll.

The Dallas Cowboys’ affinity for a bold draft pick in the second round of the draft is now a well-known thing. When the site started tracking the club’s draft commandments, the original number was eight. However, when reviewing the historical trends and trends in 2016, the ninth place was quickly added. The clubs take huge risks using their second round picks. Whether it's character flags, medical flags or fenced outdoor swings, Jerry Jones insists on trying to play by experiencing huge risks in a round of danger.

Entering the 2016 draft, the wild swing included a swing for Morris Claiborne and a character flag group centered on Randy Gregory. The injured flag is the most populous group, and the team chose players with first-round talent, but the risk of injury allowed them to decrease. Bruce Carter of North Carolina and Sean Lee of Penn State were the kids of the poster until this particular traction won Jaylon Smith of Notre Dame.

Why does this make sense? Because Smith is trying to lock in with another team after he is defining the league and not playing in 2024, this week, joins the Las Vegas Raiders rookie small training camp.

Smith suffered a huge injury in the bowl game of South Bend’s final season, destroying knee ligaments and losing foot pedals. His surgery was performed by a team of doctors on the Cowboys, giving them insight into potential recovery, or they think. He missed the entire rookie season but played all 16 games the following year after being forced into the roster due to Lee's injury. He became the top defender in 2018 and deserved but failed to receive Pro Bowl honors.

However, after a starring campaign, Jones rewarded him with a five-year deferral of $68 million. Smith won the Pro Bowl in the second year, but close observers saw a player already dropping. The long-term effects of the initial injury began to appear in his performance. His athletic ability was greatly hindered, and he encountered the diagnosed problem and began to speculate wildly. A new coaching staff moved him to weakness in 2020, but eventually he was released in mid-2021.

Since then, he has played for Green Bay, New York Giants, Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers (Practice Team). His last NFL action was held in Las Vegas in 2023 and now he hopes to impress a new coaching staff in a new coaching staff led by Pete Carroll.

In 88 professional games, 69 of which started, Smith had 11 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 6 were forced to grop, with a total of 626 tackles.
