Arlington, Texas (AP) - Everything came together in the same match between two-time Cy Young Award-winning champion Jacob Degrom and Texas Rangers Batters.
Texas is in desperate need of an offensive breakthrough, and Degrom beat six points-free situations in his first win in more than two years, even though he has performed well enough in several other games of the season.

"When is the last one, '23? Yes, it's been a while," DeGrom said after the Rangers beat the track and field 15-2 on Tuesday night.
"He won. He had something great tonight and he left us on our toes," said second baseman Marcus Semien. "We're just talking about how time is.
The 36-year-old Degrom (1-1) has gone 737 days since defeating A on April 23, 2023, before only getting another start to debut season with Texas before Tommy John's surgery.
He spread four singles and didn't hit the ball in the 65 outing (47 strikes). Just because the right-handed didn’t come back after the Rangers’ sixth outbreak, it was a high run rate throughout the game with their last season’s race and beat them 12-0.

So how efficient is sugar removal? The right-hander honestly thought he was "probably something from the 70s or 80s", like receiver Jonah Heim.
"I think he just beat a lot of batsmen, that's who he is. He got that electric fastball."
“My mechanic is very good,” said Degrom, a meticulous worker who felt good after a match the day before the game. “I’ve been working on perfecting it and getting the best position based on performance and health.”
Texas entered the final night with 91 in the Grand Slam with just 12 total six games. DeGrom has only nine support in his first five games.

The Rangers scored three straight wins while setting season highs, hitting (18) and walking (nine). They scored three home runs doubles in the same race for the first time in team history – Adolis García and Wyatt Langford were four-pointers in sixth place, while Kyle Higashioka added his three-game winning streak to eighth place.
Their offensive outbreak occurs after the entire team before the game must practice batting during the game.
"It's great to see you guys break out and have a great game. ... There are some successes, it's infectious," said manager Bruce Bochy. "You hope this is what these guys can build, build some confidence."
For DeGrom, he has improved to 3-1 with 2.55 ERA in 15 games since signing a $185 million five-year contract in December 2022.

"He's really great tonight. You know, I said, at the beginning of the season, he's going to get better as he builds strength and stamina," Bochy said. “The orders tonight are really good, really good.
