Samuel French is the rising Texas actor who is at Martin Scorsese Huayue's killeralready dead. He is 45 years old.

The Frenchman died Friday at a hospital in his birthplace of Waco, Texas. Hollywood Reporter. He has fought a cancer over the past few years.

The Frenchman will appear with Eric Roberts in his final film alongside Eric Roberts and play the detective in the upcoming historical drama Sinacore trailerscheduled for the period of the Civil Rights Movement in 1964. Watch the trailer here.

The Frenchman plays former cowboy Robinson, the first major homicide involved in the FBI in the 1920s, the infamous Osage murder, in Scorsese's 2023 epic. He shared a memorable one-on-one scene with Robert de Niro in the film, which was shot on the first day of the scene.

In Waco, the Frenchman took part in an actor's call, where he was spotted and hired by Scorsese. After the scene with De Niro, the director praised him, adding: "No one can play Robinson like you,"

French also appeared in the 2015 Historical Channel mini-show Texas Rises And in an episode of 2020 Fear of walking zombieshe starred in the titular private eye Joe Haladin: The Case of Missing Sister (2023).

His other honors include movies Pegasus: A pony with broken wings (2019), Pro Bono Watchman (2022) and Dry blood hands (2024).

The French were born on January 26, 1980. When he was 3 years old, he and his family moved to Clifton, Texas. He said last year that he graduated from high school and then lived in Austin and Dallas, but he “can’t get back to the country quickly enough.”

Survivors include his daughter Madison, 12 years old; his daughter Melinda is the daughter's mother. His parents, Gary and Darlene; and his brothers Andy and Danny.
