To build a winning fantasy women’s basketball team, you don’t have to spend a lot of time preparing. You only need one plan.
That's where the posts are divided into draft layers, which can be very helpful. Fantasy managers who do some extra work to understand which players and positions to focus on in the early stage of the draft and which players and positions to leave until the middle or later gain a big advantage.
Based on our predictions and levels, the guard position is not as deep as in previous seasons, so make sure to take that into account when making the choice.
Having said that, here is our 2025 season guard draft first level.
Caitlin Clark
Ariko Springile
Sabrina Ionescu
Clark, Ogunbowale and Ionescu are all worthy of first round consideration. Despite the addition of new work by wings, Ogunbowale remains the focus of the Dallas offense after a fantasy score of 39.7 on average last year with a fantasy score of 39.7.
Ionescu, with an average of 34.3 fp/g, has higher usage in 2025, while Courtney Vandersloot is now in Chicago. Don't hesitate to draft any of these three, but Clark provides the highest ceiling.
Jewell Loyd
Kelsey Plum
Kahleah Copper
Skylar Diggins
Jackie Young
Rhyne Howard
Paige Bueckers
Plums should be placed on your radar in the second round. Her top ten scores (17.8 points) were averaged at 28.9 fp/g last year. More importantly, Plum is transitioning from the 27-win Las Vegas ACES team to the Los Angeles Sparks team, with only eight wins last year. She should be using it very much in Los Angeles.
Diggins should be the Seattle scorer, and Jewell Loyd is gone, which will complement her strong assists, rebounds and steal numbers.
The Bueckers ended this level with an average of 31.9 fp/g this season, but don't expect her to have a rookie sport like Clark. She will share the floor with Ogunbowale, which had 25.9% usage last season.
Alisa Gray
Kelsey Mitchell
Marina Mabrey
Courtney Williams
Natasha Cloud
Kayla McBride
Jordan, Canada
Brittney Sykes
Ariel Atkins
Mabrey is ready to spend a breakout season in the sun. Last season, she averaged 14.9 points, 3.5 rpg and 3.4 APG in 16 games against Connecticut, showing upside potential in the past. Hopefully she will play the starting role in 2025.
Dinis Carrington
Sonia Citron
Chelsea Gray
Julie Vanloo
Sophie Cunningham
Courtney Vandersloot
Tiffany Hayes
Tyasha Harris
Vandersloot is the most attractive defender on this floor. After the 2024 drop season, her free average was only 16.9 fp/g and she returned to the sky. But, she is a strong rebound candidate, someone aims at the end of the draft.
Erica Wheeler
Sami Whitcomb
Dana Evans
Rebecca Allen
Kia Nurse
Shatori Walker-kimbrough
Jacy Sheldon
Odyssey Sims
Lindsay Allen
Aari McDonald
Diamond Deshields
Unparalleled person
Love is long
Wheeler is a savvy rear-wheel target for those playing in a deeper league. After a year of fever, Wheeler joined the Storm and could take over the Seattle backcourt next to Digkins. Her averages of 8.5 PPG and 3.4 APG in the past two seasons, and her playing and scoring abilities have brought her a path to fantasy relevance in 2025.
