Fantasy Women’s Basketball: Draft Level 1 in the Forward/Center

To build a winning fantasy women’s basketball team, you don’t have to spend a lot of time preparing. You only need one plan.

That's where the posts are divided into draft layers, which can be very helpful. Fantasy managers who do some extra work to understand which players and positions to focus on in the early stage of the draft and which players and positions to leave until the middle or later gain a big advantage.

Based on our predictions and levels, the forward/center position is much deeper than the back position this season, so make sure to take that into account when making your choices.

With that in mind, here is a draft of our forward/center this season.

Layer 1

A'ja Wilson
Breanna Stewart
Napheesa Collier

The top tier has three names: A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. Also known as the defending MVP, the previous MVP and the second runner-up of the MVP. They were the only three frontcourt players on average last season, with an average of 40 fp or more, while the only three this season are expected to average 40 fp/g and over 1,600 FP. There is a big gap between them and the second layer, which is expected to be 200-250 fp.

Level 2

Alyssa Thomas
Dearica Hamby
Aria Boston
Jonquel Jones
Angel Rees

The second floor consists of a combination of veterans and young all-stars. Alyssa Thomas brought her triple-double to Phoenix this season and is expected to score the highest in this group. Angel Reese, on the other hand, has the highest FP average per game at this level as he prepares for his sophomore season. Aliyah Boston is another very young player in this class and still seems to have the best chance to improve and potentially reach first level in the future.

Layer 3

Dewanna Bonner
Sabri
Good administrator
Natasha Howard
Brionna Jones

Four of the five players in the third division will play for the new team this season, with only Ezi Magbegor still remaining on the team last season. Dewanna Bonner and Natasha Howard will both join Caitlin Clark and Boston on the newly joined buzz squad. Satou Sabally has the highest potential in the group, with an average of 36.2 fp/g, even higher than any player in the 2nd tier. Saberally’s only reason is due to a history of injury, but if she stays healthy, she can make a leap in Phoenix’s first season.

Level 4

Alanna Smith
Britney laughs
Ricky Jackson
Teaira McCowan
Tina Charles
Nalyssa Smith

This is another layer that mixes veterans with young people. In this tier of Brittney Griner and Tina Charles, there are two former MVPs, both one of the star trends to play in new locations. The floor also includes sophomore Rickea Jackson, one of the most impressive people in the elite rookie class last season. Nalyssa Smith is the second pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft and hopes to start her work in Dallas's first season. This season, this level is expected to be between 1000 and 1100.

Floor 5

Chamomile Casso
Leonie Fiebich
Aneesah Morow
Azura Stevens
Aaliyah Edwards
Elizabeth Williams
Cameron Edge

Level 5 lists the far and center list that will be widely drafted in the FWBA League, which is booked with the second and third picks in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Kamilla Cardoso was injured to start his rookie season but ended with a strong end, while Cameron Brink started to get injured early in the first campaign. Brink is expected to miss the start of the season, but once she returns home, she can score well. This floor also includes our first rookie at Aneesah Morrow this season, and rookie Dominique Malonga is also on this floor.
