As the 2025 WNBA season progresses, basketball fans' attention turns to the women's game. As Caitlin Clark has become an informal face in the WNBA, the popularity of the league continues to grow.
There are many young and talented players in the league, with the power of superstars. The roster is long and they all have the ability to be the best players in the league while leading their team to the WNBA championship.
During the season’s opening week, one of Saturday’s WNBA broadcasts hopes to showcase a handful of stars and highlight their impressive achievements in their young season.
There are two major errors in the screen image displayed in the broadcast of Seattle Storm and Phoenix Mercury game.
Clark and Navisa Collier's names were misspelled. Caitlin is written incorrectly as “Caitlyn” and Napheesa is written incorrectly as “Napheessa”.

According to Fanduel Sportsbook, Clark and Collier are the two leading MVP candidates for the WNBA. Clark is a favorite to join Collier and is not behind 250 in Collier's favorites.
Fans rushed to social media to absolutely bake the WNBA to fix these big mistakes.
@rademita said on X: "The typos for 2 MVP candidates is absolutely crazy."
@vblova posted on X: "Wow! That's so bad.
@ShotFighterPow said on X: "Again...they were still unable to learn to spell the player's name throughout the offseason and had a double check before it was published."
"WNBA is a very unscrupulous league! This is the opening day, did you misspel the names of 2 asterisks?" @lundyleague posted on X.
Clark released a triple-double in the first game of the Indiana Fever on Saturday, a victory over the Chicago Sky.
Collier fell 34 points on Friday to lead her Minnesota Lynx to win the first game of Dallas wings.
