FBI officials said a deadly explosion outside a California fertility clinic Saturday morning is being investigated for acts of terrorism.
Akil Davis, assistant director of the FBI's Los Angeles field office, said four people were killed in the weekend's explosion, which allowed the debris to fly in all directions.
"It is undoubtedly an act of intentional terrorism," he said in a news conference on Saturday.
Davis added that investigators “have not actively sought the suspect” but have identified one interested. He did not say that the man was killed in the explosion.
Palm Springs Police Chief Andrew Mills said there is no more danger to the public. "I also want to make sure our community understands that this is an isolated incident. I believe the community is no longer in danger," he said.
The American Reproductive Center said Saturday In Facebook posts Earlier in the day, a car exploded in a parking lot near its Palm Springs facility. No staff were injured and no damage to any of its eggs, embryos and reproductive materials, the clinic said.
"This moment shakes us, but it doesn't stop us," the post reads. "We will continue to bring a new life into the world with strength, love and hope."

Davis said the FBI believes fertility clinics are targeted.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said Saturday night that she had briefed the explosion. “We are trying to learn more, but let me be clear: The Trump administration understands women and mothers are the heartbeat of America,” she said. In posts on x. “The violence against fertility clinics is unforgivable.”
As part of an ongoing investigation, bomb technicians were searching for the explosion site on Saturday, led by the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Davis said that at about 11 a.m. local time, the first responder arrived at the scene at 11 a.m. Saturday and found that the mudstone field extended more than 250 yards. He added that investigators are studying the possibility of live broadcast of the explosion.
