Enlightened Americans should stay and fight, not leave |Politics

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a clear quality despite all his shortcomings and arrogance: courage.

It was evident in unforgettable moments when Russia invaded Ukraine three years ago.

A trailer for Russian tanks and other armored vehicles, endless pillars violate the boundaries in the form of pliers.

In this intimidating manifestation of overwhelming power, failure seems to come close.

Kyiv looks like it will fall. Zelenskyy and Company were arrested or killed as a deadly exclamation mark, while Russian President Vladimir Putin installed a puppet regime to bow and obey.

The comedian turned into an unlikely wartime leader without backing off. He stood on the sacred soil of Ukraine.

To reassure wealthy Ukrainians, Zelenskyy posted a short video on social media surrounded by several solemn officials and cabinet ministers.

"The President is here," he said. "We are all here … to defend our independence."

Over the past few months, as I read accounts from a group of Americans, including artists and academia, I remembered an amazing scene where they left their beloved homeland and returned to the Oval Office after President Donald Trump’s tragic pain.

Before continuing, I have an obligation to make two enlightening points.

First, by invoking Zelenskyy's oath is still in Ukraine, despite the ominous risks, I'm not going to suggest that the inspiring Americans choose to give up living and working in the United States, which is a lack of courage.

Stay away from it.

Each of us faces or will face a definite dilemma under the right circumstances: stay or go.

Answering thorn questions can cause suspicion and anxiety. No matter what direction it is, making a choice is a bold act. It requires determination to exchange familiar unknowns.

Secondly, I avoided the term “escape” to describe why some Americans chose to immigrate because of Trump’s despicable methods of committing crimes. "Escape" evokes impulsive panic or self-protection rather than thoughtful, intentional decision-making.

Nevertheless, Zelenskyy provides a compelling example of why it is necessary to stay rather than escape to Canada or Europe when bullies threaten the values and principles you cherish – fairness, truth, compassion, tolerance, tolerance, justice, diversity and wisdom.

So, enlightened Americans, I urge you to stick to something like Zelenskyy: We are all here.

Your commitment to the existence of your commitment in the United States is an obligation and responsibility.

Together, you can shape a powerful, unshakable support with the dismal aspects of Trumpism – an attack on facts, an erosion of democratic norms, an embrace of authoritarianism, and a corrosive pursuit of division and fear.

This game cannot be out of reach - away from the center of an emergency battle. It must fight other enlightened Americans face to face with an uncompromising opponent and be thin on the privileges and resources that get you out.

Trumpism thrives when the opposition retreats. Absence creates space for extremism, bringing itself deeper and more broadly into the already worn and discordant structure of the United States. The withdrawal can only comfort Trumpists, determined to pass laws, threats and coercion to eliminate dissent and eliminate resistance.

Leaving can also be seen as an acknowledgment of failure - an angry, broken country is a concession of redemption or redemption.

Dynamic governance is not self-sustaining; it requires citizens to continue to struggle, especially when working hard. By abandoning the arena, some enlightened Americans confiscated their ability to shape the present and the future.

By contrast, stand with enlightened Americans and stay behind to confirm that America belongs to all of it, not just cartoon characters shouting or asking for the greatest attention.

Trump welcomes the idea of frustrated Americans building a new life in a new place because he is president. I suspect it is a sense of pride because it shows that his fighting agenda is working.

For Trump, the emergence of the "free elite" or "tactile" entertainers has never been replaced by an old institution for his subscribers of the concept of pawning the United States for the "great" of America for America.

Of course, this reaction is a symptom of Trump's broader political strategy - drawing a line similar to the Berlin Wall between the "real" Americans (his supporters) and everyone else.

By celebrating the phenomenon of Americans' separate protests, he put forward a sinister attitude that protest is not an important part of a mature, confident country, but a form of disloyalty.

Trump is not interested in solidarity or persuasion. Therefore, he will serve as president as a trial for the faithful test. If you don't worship him, you will encourage you to join the frustrated diaspora - from his jaundice view, your wonderful things.

Despite their debate and reservations about resettlement to avoid repressed surrender in major law firms, universities and corporate media, Americans face the uncomfortable fact that going out has not helped drive change.

Scholars and intellectuals have the means of courage and challenge the stubborn power, and should rejoin the distance of the battle: in the classroom, on the radio, in the town hall.

Statements from abroad, no matter how poignant, cannot be replaced, reminding the United States of this kindness, resilience and decency problem.

Trumpism flourishes in wonders, and there is little ability to understand wonders better than celebrities.

Many bids for the United States Adieu did so provocatively, waving the righteous pulpit from the foreign shores. Even so, symbolism without substance is still hollow.

Return means to resolve - positive - chaos, contradiction, the ideal of a abused country is still worth imagining and hard work.

Public figures should not only condemn their popular platforms, but also galvanized rather than conveying that boycott is not the contempt of the elitist, but as a common obligation. This will impress more by the New York Times opinion column or demeaning tweets.

Zelenskyy knows to do the hard work on the ground all the time. Here, returners can make tangible differences - not like the savior is skydiving, but like-minded collaborators allies who do this hard work without notice or applause.

Trumpism may be rising, but it is not invincible. The biggest concern is the unity of bridging class, race and background - claiming that America is not disfigured or defined unity by Donald Trump.

The injured and disillusioned exile can restore his due status when he returns home.
