RPGHQ, an administrator on the video game forum, said they received a request from EA IP law enforcement to make the MOD stand out. Administrators with username "Rusty Shackleford" describe it as targeted censorship and include screenshots of what they say are related to EA's communications.

On May 6, the original post went to a new thread where the Mod was reposted with a copyright disclaimer for "fair use" as well as instructions for downloading it.
