Legendary Entertainment has placed longtime Exec Di Mu as CEO of Legend East, a promotion and marketing division in China.
The experienced industry veteran previously served as executive vice president of marketing and will continue to be the first to do strategic marketing for the company’s legendary and third-party content in the territory. MU will report directly to legend CEO Joshua Grode.
MU joined the legend in 2016, bringing the character 22 years of experience in film marketing, creative advertising and integrated media strategies. During her tenure, she oversaw 12 film activities in China, with a box office of over $1.34 billion.
Her trail includes "Warcraft", which is the most notable imported movie at the time of release. "Godzilla X kong: The New Empire", the highest imported film in China in 2024; and "Minecraft Movie", the film continues to be dramatically broadcast as Hollywood's leading territorial imports in 2025. She also led the movements of “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu,” “Godzilla vs. Kong,” and “Dune” and “Dune: Part Two.”
The promotion was a winning streak with the producers of "Dune" at the box office. After the company’s most successful year in 2024 so far, with a lifetime of more than $20 billion in box office revenue, “Minecraft Movie” recently made its biggest debut in a video game adaptation in history, earning over $900 million worldwide and becoming the second highest-grossing movie of 2025.
The execution measure is the acquisition of management of its remaining equity by Legend in 2024 and is now owned by management and Apollo only.

The legendary upcoming slate includes "Dune: Part III", and the live action-animated mixed comedy "Animal Friends" starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and Dan Levy. The film adaptation of Street Fighter; an untitled Alejandro G.iñárritu project by Tom Cruise; and a new work from the Monsterverse series.
On the TV side, the company's current and upcoming series include "The Monarch: The Legacy of the Monster" (Apple TV+), "Tomb Raider: Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft" (Netflix), "Dune: Prophecy" (Hbo/Max) (HBO/Max), Emmy Winner "Drops of God of God of God" (Apple TV+) (Apple TV+), "Vanda" (Apple TV+), and thrue+thriL+thrille+thriller+)
