Draymond Green of the Warrior

Despite playing most of the games without Stephen Curry, the Warriors started harder in Game 2 after winning the first game in Minnesota Timberwolves, with them trailing 14 points in the end of the first quarter.

In the frustration of a bad start, coupled with the absence of a curry game when he recovered from a hamstring injury, it was one of the storylines of the first round series emitted by the Warriors and the Rockets: Draymond Green, an emotional roller coaster.

This time, Green made an unwise technical foul on the drama involving Naz Reid of Timberwolves.

Green pushed the ball past three earlier in the second quarter, and Reid protected him as the Warriors trailed 33-17 and entered halfway with an 8:46 run. Reid reached for a green and was asked to foul, but Green waved his elbows on Reid's chin and walloped him. After review, Green was evaluated as a technical foul.

As Anthony Slater of Track and Field noted, this is bad news for Green and the voiceover.

He wrote on Twitter/X: "That would be Draymond Green's fifth technical foul on the playoffs. Two games were suspended. The Warriors need at least what tonight."

Indeed, Green can only have two more technical fouls, and if he gets another foul, he may pop out of the second game.

Former coach Stan Van Gundy soon called him on the game's TNT broadcast.

"He has to control his emotions," Van Gundy said. "I understand the frustration. ... They will try to go to et jimmy butler back into the game, trying to get him out of the official and pull it together. Steve Kerr is very wise here. They are now down 16 at 16 and they can't afford it."

Annoying

Nevertheless, the greens raged among the referees and crowds who went to the bench - although the replay clearly showed that technical fouls were necessary.

Van Gundy said the Warriors should essentially put the green in a timeout situation: "I'm not sure he shouldn't go to the locker room and calm him down a little bit. They need him. Not only is he their defensive leader, but he's the hub of their offense and their facilitator."
