Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton plays role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child | Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Tom Felton will reprise the role of Harry Potter and the Cursed Children as Draco Malfoy.

The actor, who starred in all the movie adaptations of JK Rowling's fantasy novels, will make a comeback later this year when he bullies Harry Potter's school bullying at Broadway in New York's Lyric Theatre.

The work says he is the first actor in the film to re-start on stage, which will be Felton's Broadway debut.

He said: “Being part of the Harry Potter movie is one of the greatest honors of my life. Joining this piece will be a complete moment for me because I will also be Draco’s exact age when I start performing this fall with the cursed kids.

“It’s surreal to go back to his shoes and of course his signature platinum blonde hair – I’m excited to see his story and share it with the world’s greatest fan community. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being part of the Broadway community.”

Felton, 37, made his debut in the supernatural thriller "2:22: Ghost Story of 2022."

"Tom is back to generations of fans at Hogwarts and calls a new life into a beloved story," said Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, the show's producers. "We're excited to welcome Tom back to our new family: our Broadway company."

The play was written by Jack Thorne, a co-creator of this year's popular Netflix drama puberty - opened in London in 2016 and has been opening on Broadway since 2018. It was jointly announced by Rowling, and 19 years after the final book’s match, Potter now with the Magic staff, along with his wife Ginny Weasley, who had to be sent to the Magic Department with his wife, and his youngsters had to be sent to the Magic Department with him.

In a two-part drama of more than five hours, Albus fights the weight of his family legacy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Witchcraft and extends extreme and dangerous lengths to correct past mistakes.

Felton has been on the rise of the planet of the Apes in 2011 since the end of the film franchise and has recurred in the murders of the TV series in The Flash and Origins.

HBO's seven Harry Potter books are being brought to small screens by HBO and have begun leaving in the UK this summer at Warner Bros Studios.
