Everyone knows an elderly relative or friend and has a poor memory. This is one of the most unpleasant experiences in life, and as dementia progresses, one can pursue memories that no longer exist, feelings of depression and uncertainty increase. Relatives and caregivers are worried and may feel helpless, even if the patient itself denies the problem and may vary from day to day, even from day to next. Gait may affect depending on a specific diagnosis and falls become more frequent.

Most people would agree that seeing symptoms of dementia or cognitive slips differ in someone’s relatives from the U.S. president. Of course, the President’s concern is to show the ability to carry out the office’s responsibilities at the highest level. The president's annual physical condition has become a measure of this ability. That's why White House doctor Dr. Kevin O'Connor was under scrutiny during Joe Biden's presidency for reporting reports that Biden was healthy and suitable for service. He wrote in February 2024: “Another reassuring, a very detailed neurological examination was found as no consistent with any cerebellar or other neurological disorders such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease or transverse sclerosis, nor any signs of compliance with bone symptoms.

However, from previous letters about President Biden’s health, there is no MRI that mentions brain or neurocognitive testing. Peripheral neuropathy or loss of sensation in the limbs hardly attracts attention to fitness. Furthermore, even if the discussion about possible wheelchair use among White House insiders was discussed, as the new book The Original Crime, raised by CNN's Jake Tapper and Axios's Alex Thompson, it is not a reason to question fitness. During World War II, Roosevelt was famous from a wheelchair, even though he tried to hide it in order not to show weakness to the Nazis.

Jonathan Turley: Biden is not the only loser revealed by shocking Hull audio

Biden's gait or vulnerability is only important if the president is associated with progressive neurodegenerative diseases, Dr. O'Connor claims that it is not. But is this assessment completely accurate or comprehensive? We don't know. But as we know, since the tapes of special counsel Robert Hur were finally released, it was a time when Biden obviously suffered a great loss of direction and memory loss, and the president involved very important events, such as when his son died or when he left the office vice president. Hearing these moments on tape, rather than reading them on transcripts, is very sober and enough to question his health. However, nothing was done except for obvious confusion and concealment.

From Woodrow Wilson to Eisenhower and even Ronald Reagan, there is a long history of hiding the president's health, and there is still some debate on whether he began to show moderate signs of cognitive impairment in his second term.

However, the lack of disclosure of hybrid history does not make it right.

We still don't know what impact has been affected by former President Biden. He suffered from a cerebral aneurysm and bleeding in 1988, repaired by an open method (cranion) which could lead to long-term cognitive problems, and he suffered from atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat irregularity), and recent studies have shown that the risk of cognitive decline is increased. There is a risk of vascular dementia.

Regardless of his disoriented and the underlying reasons for his memory period, we hope that everything goes well for him. But we also want the country to have an era of greater disclosure and transparency, especially when it comes to our highest posts.
