According to the plan, Roki Sasaki's rookie year has not gone as planned, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are now pressing the pause button.
The team announced on Tuesday that it had placed the Japanese phenomenon on the 15-day list of injuries and was hit by a right shoulder. Rescuer JP Feyereisen was recalled with a corresponding move.
Unless his location is retrospective, Sasaki will be eligible to return on May 28.

This move is Sasaki has 4.72 ERA, 6.17 FIP, 1.485 WHIP and many other unimpressive numbers. After the 2023 World Baseball Classic and last year's high 100 mph seats in Japan, his fastball averaged 96 mph per baseball racer.
In his latest latest start, with just 94.8 mph, he allowed five runs and five hits in four innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks without strikeouts. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed Tuesday that Sasaki felt sore arms after he started.
All of this is far worse than many Sasaki's highly acclaimed transitions to MLB.
Sasaki posted a shock wave of the entire baseball on the Chiba Lotte Marines team at the NPB in Japan, if he had a potential nine-digit deal two years later. Because his price is restricted by the international bonus pool, he is hyped up as perhaps one of the biggest bargains in baseball history.

Few were surprised when Sasaki chose to join the Dominant World Series championship with a $6.5 million contract, which changed the changes he had with his two Japanese teammates.
It seems like everything is so good for the Dodgers, but we are here, after eight replacement levels start, Sasakie is on the injured roster.
Sasaki took three straight Arsenal to the MLB: his high-speed four-aerial fastball, one of the best split balls in the world, and he was still working last year. The splitter has been advertised, but the batsman feasted on the fastball, beating the .494.

(Christian Petersen via Getty Images)Regardless of the league changing, this is what happens when the four people go from one of the fastest people in the world to a mid-90s product. Roberts said Tuesday that the team is still working to figure this out with Sasakie's fastball:
“I think there is a command part. I think there is a ‘go out and try to compete every five or sixth day to get the major league batsman out.” We’re still trying to have a conversation to see where he is because at the end of the day, we want to make sure he can fulfill his abilities and meet our abilities and expectations.

Sasaki entered the MLB in the zip codes of Paul Skenes and Stephen Strasburg, becoming one of the most popular prospects in living memory. However, it is becoming clear that he hasn't entered the league like his teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has achieved more in the NPB.
This does not mean that Sasaki is already a bust. He is 23 years old and has only been adapting to major league batting and Dodgers players in the first few months of developing the machine. IL appointments may be a right-time avoiding relegation, which is a response to injury. None of these are ideal, though.
