New Democratic National Committee Vice Chairman David Hogg told "Real Time" host Bill Maher on Friday on Friday that the Democratic Party lost money in 2024 because they paid $2 billion to make voters distrust their eyes and ears.
Hogg, a 25-year-old progressive who was elected to the position earlier this year, argued that his party lost voters in most demographics last November because they wanted voters to believe former President Biden was good and that the economy was in good shape despite Americans seeing the opposite.
"People say to us, Joe Biden is too old, they say the price is too high. We say, we have $2 billion behind us and say, 'No, he's not, then' yes, he's, and then, 'No, no, they're not. Looking at this chart of the stock market," he said on the HBO talk show.

Before Hogg's theory, Maher argued that Wokeness prompted losses. "It's more of arousing things, isn't that? Isn't that a strategy Trump has adopted? That's a big ad that works."
Hogg acknowledged that, but zoomed in, saying it was more about President Donald Trump showing voters his concerns, and Democratic leaders seemed to deny their voters really felt.
"I think the reason this works is Bill, because people feel like we don't hear us," he said.

After mentioning Biden’s party or denying the price, he declared: “If you tell people not to believe their eyes and their wallets, you will lose them.”
Since being elected as Vice-Chairman, progressives have benefited greatly from fellow Democratic figures.
He became the headline of a conflict with senior democratic strategist James Carville on the podcast of journalist Tara Palmeri last month. The two men's strategy for Hogg's primary Democratic lawmakers in the Blue Region makes room for the NDP leaders.
Carville criticized it as "abnormal" and "Jacka - Jacka at the highest level" prioritized delaying the Democratic Party rather than defeating Republicans. Hogg shoots backwards, the party has the ability. He asked Hogg to focus on winning elections against the Republican Party.

Hogg insists his strategy is to "win the election."
"It's not about winning the Queens election, it's something you're never going to compete with Republicans. It's about helping the Democrats win the election."
The two eventually buried the axe, and Cavill posted X to X, i.e. DNC “need him” as he “fighted” for the party.
Hogg's strategy even associates with new DNC chairman Ken Martin, who said in an April call: "I told him that if you want to challenge the incumbent, you are free to do this, but not as a DNC official because our work is neutral.
