Sean "Diddy" Combs filed the lawsuit in federal court in New York on Wednesday against Nexstar Media Inc. (NewsNation), Courtney Burgess and attorney Ariel Mitchell, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital Libel suit.
Diddy accuses the defendants of "fueling a media frenzy, fabricating outlandish claims and fanning baseless speculation" over months over alleged sex tapes involving the disgraced music mogul and other celebrities, the suit said. He is seeking $50 million in damages.
"In this pitiful spectacle, all pretense of objectivity was abandoned and a global audience was treated to a buffet of wild lies and conspiracy theories," the document states. Diddy's legal team accuses Burgess of "falsely claiming he was in possession of videos of Mr. Combs engaging in the sexual assault of celebrities and minors."

A representative for Burgess did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
