The Indycar series completed a five-week orbital action with the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, a 100-lap race on nine laps, 1.645 miles of downtown street layout.
Promotion: 150 seconds, with a growth of up to 15 seconds
Tire distribution: Five sets of main tires (six rookies) and five sets of spare tires. The team must use a set of main tires and a set of new spare tires for at least two laps during the competition.
Alex Palou. Although Kyle Kirkwood beat him once, I'm not sure there's much more to say.
Scott Dixon suffered all crashes and penalties in a narrow downtown street course to earn his 58th career victory.
From Nathan Brown, Indystar
The choice of Alex Palou is so obvious that we will for some time ban him from previewing from this section. Pato O'Ward was second and Christian Lundgaard was second, but they were behind Palou's highest score of more than two.
Who is acting on the point standings? Marcus Ericsson He would have been ranked 10th after crossing the finish line in the Indianapolis 500, but he finished second after his behind-the-car technical check. He won the loneliness podium in Detroit in 2024, and this weekend's performance was similar, with Ericsson forming a lot of ground he lost in the Indy Championship.
Amazing ranking performance: although Rinus Veekay He was not consistent in his first year at Dale Coyne Racing. However, Veekay barely missed six in his first weekend as an engineer with Michael Cannon, but he held a strong Sunday for Sunday.
Things you haven't seen: On the track he started on pole last year but only finished No. 19, Detroit looks like a good track Colton Herta Find some motivation. He ranked 9th in the championship rankings and finished the top 5. But the narrow streets of Detroit could be cruel, and Herta and crew 26 left, tough on the traditionally dominant Andreti Global Streets lesson plan.
