D-Conn. Rep. Jim Himes expressed rare praise to President Donald Trump on Thursday, saying he "has performed very well in the Middle East."
Trump has received some unusual constituencies for his efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships in the Middle East for stability and economic prosperity. Trump said in Doha, Qatar that he said on Thursday that he believes the United States and IranClose to the nuclear agreement No violence.
Earlier this week, the president announced that he would lift sanctions on Syria before meeting with the country's interim president, Ahmad al-Sharaa, the first U.S. president to meet with Syrian president in 25 years.
Himes, a senior member of the House Intelligence Permanent Choice Committee, spoke at the Political Security Summit on Thursday, with Democrats in great honor for the Republican president.

Democratic Congressman Jim Himes pointed out that he is not usually a person who praises President Trump, but is forced to give credibility in negotiations in the Middle East.
"I'm not used to praising Donald Trump," he began, describing how Trump has surpassed his expectations for the Middle East in the past week.
"I'm going into this week, worried that the Israeli Prime Minister is in trouble while fighting Iran. I'm going into this week, worried that we'll miss out on Syria's chances for a new leadership in Syria. I think I think the president has been around last week, I think it's beautiful in the Middle East," Himes said.
He added: "My guess is that the Israeli Prime Minister is planning for Iran. "Look, it looks like we will give al-Sharaa a chance in Syria. This is a good thing. Again, it’s not a habit to praise the president, but I have to give him some respect there. ”

Jonathan Martin, a senior political columnist in politics, found how some Democrats praised Trump's humor because some of his parties also disagree with him.
