Making coffee is one of the rituals I've been looking forward to, and I think it's a formal green light to really start the day. Whether it's through Nespresso, Moka Pot or Aeropress, I've been making coffee at home.

For some reason, I've been feeling scared toward the upgrade of the luxury coffee maker, thinking it's just complicating my process, but the De'longhi Rivelia espresso maker proved me wrong.

One of its fun features is personalization, which allows you to create profiles for up to four people. This machine can learn your daily routine based on how each user likes their coffee at different times of the day and based on how they like menu options.

It also has a double bean hopper. If you are like me and want a Decaf, then this is handy. You can easily swap to the secondary hopper without removing beans from the main grinder.

I'm also grateful that the machine automatically shuts down after being idle for a certain period of time, which is very useful for people who are usually on the go.

Brewing process

When you turn on the machine, it takes about 30 seconds to heat up, so once you choose your own option, it will always be ready to use. There are 18 options in the machine, including latte, espresso, cappuccino, flat white, and many other options.

When you choose something that involves milk, the machine can adjust the foam thickness and the milk to coffee ratio. It releases the foam first, and then releases the coffee. This is a fully automatic machine, so it takes less than a minute from heating to service.

On the downside, I like to make ice lattes. However, the milk glass bottle of this machine can only heat the milk. If you want something cold, you must buy Lattecrema cool accessories for cold foam.

Taste and quality

Every time I use the machine, I like the quality of the coffee and I like how to customize my preferences. This machine does eliminate speculation. Just select and go.

As a gritty person who has zero barista-level training in coffee brewing, it’s a quick and easy Joe without damaging the taste of the coffee, which is a great choice.

Is it worth it?

Is that worth it? I would say yes. This is a multi-functional, fully automatic coffee maker that makes coffee brewing easy and fun.

The best part is that I drink high-quality coffee without leaving my home, which is a real luxury. Living in New York City has always been a battle for counter space, and this machine has won more places in my place.
