Dannielynn Birkhead's favorite game of the season's favorite Kentucky Derby, her mother's memory remains.
Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead's 18-year-old daughter dressed in one of the iconic looks of the annual competition held in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dannielynn wore an attractive black dress with shiny diamonds on the back when he showed up at Barnstable Brown Gala on Friday, and Anna Nicole, a dress, wore the same event for the first time 21 years ago.

Her father pointed out that the dress had emotional meanings to him and his daughter.
"Start the @kentuckyderby weekend with Dannielynn," Larry wrote on Instagram. "First, Barnstable-BrownGala. Dannielynn wore an Anna Nicole dress, who wore the same event 21 years ago. Life is complete.

Birkhead met his late Playboy Playmate in Kentucky Derby in 2003, and despite keeping their relationship relatively private at the time, he continued to return to historic annual event to commemorate the past and continue to create new traditions with his little girl.

Since I did meet her mom there, it’s just the story I brought her back and showed her and let her know that, you know, this is where I know your mom and things. Then it came to some people there looking for my daughter because I really didn't let her do anything public.
Smith died in 2007 at the age of 39, when Dannielynn was only five months old.

When Dannielynn was born in the Bahamas in September 2006, Birkhead struggled to build her father's rights and became the central figure in the public court battle after Anna Nicole's death on February 8, 2007, after several attempts to claim a parent-child relationship.
After a DNA test was conducted in April 2007, a judge announced his father, Berkhead, after which he lifted his daughter from the spotlight in Hollywood and his hometown of Kentucky.
