Dak Prescott turns on Tuesday with injury announcement

Dak Prescott suffered a brutal injury in the 2024 NFL season, tearing off the bones of his legs in his Week 9 defeat. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback was ruled out for the remainder of the season and was undergoing surgery to fix the issue on November 13.

Now nearly six months later, Prescott has made great strides in his recovery process.

Prescott hasn't been fully contacted yet, but he's taking part in the Cowboys' voluntary offseason workout. The veteran signal caller announced a significant injury update in the media on Tuesday.

"It's almost done. It feels good," Prescott said. "Yes, I think I just didn't get in touch, we've been there for a while anyway. Yes, I'm in a team event. It feels good. Trying to keep that way. Yes, it feels good."

"People say a lot to me, man." "I just showed up and took control of what I could control (become healthy). Trying to stay healthy. Feeling good. Yes, just trying to push the energy and make sure I keep getting better."

Cowboy QB Dak Prescott is a formal participant in today’s OTA exercise. He was originally expected to be restricted when he returned from a hamstring injury at the end of the season.

"Am I behind? No," Prescott said. "Leaving early (2024) season. I mean (stubborn) I'm very hurt. Sorry. My offseason started. It started on this language, but my offseason started, so that's actually why I worked with rehabilitation director Britt (Brown) and that's actually why I worked with this training guy."
