The Critics' Choice Awards have now set a new ceremony date for Friday, February 7.

The show will still be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and Chelsea Handler will still host.

The show was originally scheduled for Sunday, January 12, but was postponed again to January 26 due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. A ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary is scheduled to take place sometime in February, with the official date to be announced in the coming days. The race will still be held at Buck Hangar in Santa Monica.

The live broadcast will be broadcast on E! and on Peacock the following day for domestic and international viewers. Chelsea Handler remains as host, promising an evening that balances celebration, respect and resilience during a difficult time for the community.

The Critics' Choice Awards were one of many Hollywood events disrupted by the fires that began on January 7 and scorched large swaths of Los Angeles County. With thousands of buildings destroyed and mass evacuations affecting nearly 200,000 residents, the crisis affects the heart of the entertainment industry.

Several awards ceremonies and related events have been postponed or rescheduled. The American Society of Cinematographers and the Producers Guild of America have postponed nomination announcements, and the ACE Eddie Awards ceremony scheduled for January 18 has also been postponed. Most notably, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended the Oscar voting window to Friday, January 17, and delayed the nomination announcement to Thursday, January 23.

Amid this devastation, Angelenos are united in support of those affected. Donations are pouring in to organizations such as the Cal Fire Foundation, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Los Angeles Area Food Bank, leading efforts to provide aid and relief. Multiple networks, studios and music labels have donated millions of dollars to help those affected.

Despite the challenges, the Critics' Choice Awards remain one of the most anticipated events of the season, celebrating excellence in film and television. This year’s nominations are led by Edward Berger’s gripping religious thriller “Conclave” and Jon M. Chu’s blockbuster musical “Wicked,” which Both films received an impressive 11 nominations.
