Jax Ulbrich, son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, raised controversy after getting Sheduer Sanders’ phone number from his father’s computer before the NFL draft began.

Jax dialed the prank numbers during the draft.

The NFL then fined the Falcons assistant coach $100,000. The league also issued a $250,000 fine to the Falcons.

The situation has sparked some debate about whether Ulbridge will be fired during his second term with Atlanta. But Ulbrich said he never feared his job was at risk.

"I've never been there to be honest, but I have nothing except the support of the organization, from the people working in the cafeteria to (owners) (Arthur) Blank himself (all people)," Ulbrich told ESPN on Wednesday.

Ulbrich held various assistant coaching positions during his 2015-2020 tenure with the Falcons. Head coach Raheem Morris is also on the team's second term, bringing Ulbrich back to Atlanta in January to fill the opening ceremony of the defensive coordinator.

Shortly after the regular season, the Falcons fired former defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake.

Ulbrich added: "I got a lot of support from him. Honestly, this is one of the biggest reasons why I got back here because of the organization and my opinion on the building."

Ulbrich said he still did not discipline his son.

“We are still working hard, but it’s a challenge for our family,” Ulbrich said. “But everyone in our family needs it’s a challenge. Like I said, it’s going to make my son better.”

In a press conference last month, Ulbrich said Jax's actions were "absolutely unforgivable." He also said he was not aware that his son was responsible for the prank call and he was "shocked" when he knew his development until after the draft.
