CNN will portray the legendary broadcaster Edward R. Murrow in the second performance of the documentary script Good Night and Luck written and starring George Clooney.
"Good Night, Good Luck" will play its penultimate show on Winter Garden Theatre Live on Broadway on Saturday, June 7, which will be streaming on CNN, CNN International and CNN.com. Live streaming will not require a cable login on the digital platform. Every CNN, this is Broadway live broadcast will be televised.

In the play, Clooney made his Broadway debut as Murrow, showing him showing his history with Senator Joseph McCarthy. As McCarthyism casts shadow on America, Mouro and his news team choose to face an increasing wave of paranoia and propaganda, even if it means turning the federal government and a worried country against them. "Good night, good luck" ended the dramatic performance in New York City on Sunday, June 8.
"'Good night, good luck' is not just a celebration of the golden age of television press," said CNN CEO Mark Thompson. "It's also about the importance of free media and the need for powerful news organizations to report facts in a fair way. It's something we still care a lot."
Following production, CNN will host an exclusive “Good Night and Blessing” special to discuss drama and global journalism.
"Good night, good luck" was nominated for five Tony awards, including the main cast in Clooney's drama. Directed by Tony Champion David Cromer, the drama has recently become the highest-grossing drama in Broadway history and the first drama to exceed $4 million in a week. The work, in collaboration with Tix Today, also recently provided 2,000 tickets to New York City high school students, including those studying journalism to participate in the show.
"Good night, good luck," Clooney and Grant Heslov wrote on the directing of Tony winner David Cromer. The producers are Seaview, Sue Wagner, John Johnson, Jean Doumanian and Robert Fox.
