Big pod machine: Pitt Rose Day special edition
The Reds defeated journalist Gordon Wittenmyer and sports journalist Pat Brennan to discuss the status quo of the Cincinnati Reds.
The Cincinnati Reds didn’t work with traditional starting pitchers, and by the end of the game it was obvious that they didn’t have a day to do it.
Instead of using Petty for most of the game, the Reds deployed a bottle opener and more reliefists after that. All in all, the six Reds reliefists merged to make the Guardians the only run as Cincinnati won 4-1 and won a 38,586er game Saturday at Great American Ball Park.
After the victory, the Reds raised to 23-24 and claimed to be against the Guardians (25-20). Cincinnati will be in the series on Sunday (1:40 pm). Cincinnati starter Andrew Abbott (2-0, 2.10 ERA) plans to face Cleveland's Luis L. Ortiz (2-4, 2.78 ERA).
Red Army reliefist Brent Suter acted as the "opening" for Cincinnati. Reds manager Terry Francona said before the game that the move was intended to help Petty, the starter originally planned, who took a tough blow in the early innings of his first two major league starts.
Sut did everything he could to get the job arranged. He threw three innings and spread out four singles. Only one of these runners went to second base, and receiver Jose Trevino stole Cleveland Slugger Jose Ramirez to try to end the third inning.
Then, after Suth, another reliefist came. Petty's character in the game becomes a question mark.
Lyon Richardson took the fourth inning in Suter's relief and worked on that frame, but Daniel Schneemann allowed Daniel Schneemann's right territory in the fifth inning with Cleveland leading 1-0.
Cincinnati answered the bottom of the fifth inning with its hottest hitter, with the lead being short-lived. Will Benson continues his recent success to the right field with a lone home run. This marks his third home run in many games.
Relief Luis Mey ran for the sixth inning Reds and was organized to win, his first game in the major leagues.
The Reds then took the first lead of the night at the bottom of the sixth inning. TJ Friedl started the game with a doubles, San Diego Espinal exited the edge position and instead slapped a single game to the right, allowing Friedl to slide into the home court 2-1.
The sequence eliminated Cleveland starter Cecconi from the game.
After two batsmen, Austin Hays doubled the top of the left wall. Although he missed a home run with only one kick, the ball hit the infield from the wall, thus scoring the Chickenball's time from first place.
Hays received twice the honor, and although he would eventually be trapped there, he eventually based on the final throw home.
The Reds will find another insurance in the seventh inning, when receiving the latter exploded a solo home run and the single ran to the turf below the Central Field batsman. The ball's exit velocity was measured at 109.8 mph, and the estimated estimation was 423 feet.
On the pitching side, Graham Ashcraft handled the seventh inning, Tony Santillan cared for the eighth inning, and Emilio Pagán collected a second save in multiple days. This is his 11th save in 2025.
