Chris Finch feels honest about Anthony Edwards' ankle injury

Timberwolves in Minnesota were frightened when Anthony Edwards stopped standing up after Trayce Jackson-Davis accidentally landed on his left ankle. It's a horrible situation, especially since Edwards is the team's superstar.

Thankfully, for fans, Edwards quickly recovered in the locker room. It was a tough sight even for head coach Chris Finch, who was worried about his superstar shooting guard.

Timberwolves' system is built around Edwards. He is the team's superstar, so it's not surprising that Finch is worried about injury, as he will lose the team's main engine in the playoffs.

Thankfully, Finch didn’t need to make a lot of adjustments because Edwards was good. However, Julius Randle does have a great competition showcase the Timberwolves without Edwards.

Finch is worried about Edwards after injury

Although Edwards is known for avoiding injuries, the accident in the second quarter looked awful. Jackson-Davis isn't that, but he's a big guy who lands on another player's ankle.

It might be worse, but Edwards is strong enough to withstand this kind of contact. Finch knew that ants were tough, but it was a frightening event, and he thought it was disastrous for everyone.

“I’m really worried about this, I mean, there are a lot of ways to be an elite athlete and being able to get this stuff off is definitely one of them, but I’m really going to not see him for the rest of the game.”Finch said after the second game.

The Warriors made a comeback in the third quarter, but Edwards, Randall and the others won again. It would be even more terrible if Edwards wasn't there to help the team settle down.

Healthy Edwards will be motivated

Since Edwards was unscathed after the game, he would want to establish his performance in Game 3. He did well in Game 2, but he wanted to put stamps on the game and prove that he was the best player in the series.

Stephen Curry's injury may be good for Timberwolves, but that doesn't mean that Ant and his team will be removing their feet from the gas pedal. They want to keep going so they don't let it get in the way.

Edwards wants to consolidate himself as one of the best players in the NBA. He has beaten Luka Doncic and LeBron James in the last series, so winning with the Warriors should be another achievement he is looking forward to.
