Chloe Fineman in the summer of 69 movies, SNL's Aimee Lou Wood drama

Chloe Fineman doesn't easily decide to solve the role of sex worker Santa Monica in Hulu movies Summer 69.

this Saturday Night Live The outstanding star with Sam Morelos’s partner and co-star Jillian Bell in the comedy feature film is currently on streaming. Fineman has extensive research on the film, which centers on Teen Abby (Morelos), which attracts Fineman’s Stripper character to help her become more inspired to win her high school obsession.

Talk to it Hollywood ReporterFineman discusses her random encounter with a stripper who ends up working in the film, how she prepares for the character leads to Lindsay Lohan to give her a copy Weird Friday The sequel and how she feels SNL Involved in dispute.

What attracted you in the first place Summer 69?

Immediately, it's just working with Jillian Bell. I've always been a fan of her and I haven't made movies with a female director yet. That's it, it's also a stripper. What don’t love? ((laugh)

Before that, were you familiar with the sex worker community?

really. Now we have a movie aor. When I first moved to LA, I had a lot of friends and I would stand up with strippers and stand-up comics, which was a fun combination. A few of my friends have a strip club in Silver Lake. Honestly, I think (this is) “we are our people” and not stigmatizing it or commenting on it, which is absolutely fun. That's a delicate balance of teen comedy, and that's not to say I'm going to show off my tits. That will be the next movie. ((laugh.)

Do you have your favorite moments in the shooting?

The absolute big dance sequence I thought was "Oh God." I did train for this and we installed poles in the high school we were going to shoot, so there was a sweaty gym here and there were X-Pole Stripper poles there too. But I was lucky that my sister was visiting, so she kept doing my own whole process, it was my own Santa Monica and it was really like, "Yes, bitch!" It was really fun.

What is your training like?

I was in Los Angeles and it turns out that for some reason there were pole classes in every street. I'm in Pasadena and you usually think this is where they shoot The Father of the Bridebut randomly there is an amazing class. I just like this teacher, I hang out after class and it's like, "Will you be my stripper coach?" We flew her to Syracuse, she and me and the amazing Travis Wall So do you think you can dance?we all came up with this together, it was so interesting.

Are there any concerns about this topic?

I don't think so. The explanation for (involving) "dialogue communication with porn...pictures" is even bigger, and it's the only one I really pay attention to when it comes to not wanting to be the Groom -y. We did shoot me in another room (but not using it) when Abby watched porn. We all agree that either this can really work – but, and, I've been engaging moms in my comments. God knows why. So I thought, “Let’s avoid this.”

Why is mom in your comment?

Always like, “Is this beauty? You only get trolls from it SNL Generally speaking. I kept thinking, “Can I avoid this?” Mom, also known as Republican – do you know what I mean?

Do you have stunt driving?

We have an amazing stunt coordinator. I've been in the car all the time for me to leave those creepy guys, (driver) Meredith freaked out my shit every time, and I'm really scared of that car. Then, when we go to a nun, it was Meredith. (When I went) In the car with her, because they needed to grab my shoulders, I was like, “Am I going to die?”

These days, sexy comedy seems to be hard to get to the theater. What is the landscape of comedy movies?

The fact that we are doing is a good sign. We had a fun show in Los Angeles with a large crowd SNL People are out. The fact that they are made and people respond to this is a gift. I had a bunch of comedy girlfriends coming to the screening and we all liked it: “Man, I wish I had this when I grew up.”

You've been very busy lately and I'm glad to see Friday's weird Talked at Cinemacon last month. What was it like to be part of this sequel?

Too crazy. This is totally correct: I'm playing strippers' hair extensions - unfortunately, it's not my real hair - they take a long time. I was in this salon in Los Angeles after get off work, Lindsay Lohan entered. Then we started chatting and became friends because we finished our hair. We exchanged numbers and she was just my cutest person and my hero. When I dressed up as a stripper, it was really blue, and she was like, “Do you want to come in?” Friday's weird? "I was like, "Oh, my God." "It's all from getting hair extensions.

Are you going to stay Saturday Night Live And keep working on other projects, or what will it look like for you in the future?

Oh my God, I don't know! I'm curious how everything will get rid of it. I do know I have a lot of fun in the show and we are really a very close team and very comfortable. I played with Fred Armisen in January and he thought, “If you think this is your last year, you’ll stay for a year.” It was an explosion of a show and the fact that (producer) Michaels even let me leave for a day was great.

At the end of Season 50, are there any favorite highlights?

I wrote this sketch (recently) saying I had three years of thought, called "Forever 31." I never really proposed it. But a few weeks ago, all my thoughts were shot down and I finally hit our lead writer. I basically had a note-taking app and I was like, “Okay, here are 10 other ideas.” Among those I don’t believe in, they were like, “Wait, that’s great.” Seeing that going on, (host) Quinta (Brunson) is so frustrated that millennials like me respond to it, it’s so cute. Even if we have Kamala Harris, that's crazy. Everyone scored in their own way this season. We just had a retreat (the weekend before the Brunson episode) and you were like, “Man, this is a very special group.”

Is that something you often do?

No, this has never happened. We all took the bus to Tarrytown and took karaoke all night.

Wow! The whole actor?

Yes, celebrate and acknowledge all the hard work we have done this year. It’s really important not to hang out on Saturdays when you have a bad mindset. It's a weird, emotional roller coaster, so you're like someone hanging out on the show, like a completely different special bond. It was awesome to do this together.

SNL Still managed to get headlines, including Aimee Lou Wood's response to the season's parody. Are you surprised when the show is still controversial?

Oh, my goodness. We are all sorry, obviously, the whole show apologizes. It's always about the course correction, and we've done it a lot. I'm obviously sorry. I didn't play Aimee Lou so I don't want to speak on Sarah (Sherman) and I honestly feel embarrassed when I have to talk about it because I don't like talking to my friends. But there is definitely a course inside to correct and apologize and we love her. Who is the Republican lady who goes to see that game and is promoting it?

Lauren Boebert?

Correct. I made her and she was very angry. You're used to, "Okay, shut up." If you really appreciate someone you will learn to be more sensitive. It's the beautiful boundary between celebrities and great actors. only. A few years ago we did Nicole Kidman, which was AMC's thing, and it was just the tiniest thing we've adjusted. You just need to stomp gently with the rest of our cast. It's a little different from Lauren Boeberts of the world.
