Children among 125 Palestinians in Israel attack | Israel - Palestinian conflict news

The Israeli military has killed hundreds of Palestinians in the past few days as it amplified the ground invasion.

The Israeli military killed at least 125 Palestinians, including children sleeping in tents, as it released a wave of air strikes that struck the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that at least 36 people were killed and more than 100 were injured after Israeli fighter jets bombed a tent camp.

The horror verification video on the scene showed many bodies, including some arson. The injured were taken to a nearby field hospital and Nasser Medical Complex.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that at least 125 people died in northern Gaza on Sunday morning, 42 of them were killed. The victims are also three journalists.

The death toll has been rising dramatically over the past four days, with hundreds massacres of Israeli military preparing to significantly strengthen its ground invasion of the Palestinian territory, despite international criticism.

Hamas said in a statement earlier Sunday that the attack on Khan Younis' displaced Palestinians marked a "brutal crime" and a flagrant violation of international law and norms.

"By granting political and military cover to the terrorist occupation government, the U.S. government is directly responsible for this crazy escalation, which is the target of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, including children, women and the elderly," the Palestinian Group said.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned Israel's expanded actions in Gaza. “I was shocked by Israel’s plans to expand ground operations and so on.”

Both Israel and Hamas confirmed that more speeches are being made in Qatar on Saturday.

Israel stressed that negotiations were conducted without conditions, including bringing humanitarian aid into Gaza, which would have been completely blocked since March 2, despite the famine shrouding famine.

Israel's far-right national security minister Itama Ben-Gvir called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to return the negotiation team to Doha talks and avoid signing any agreement with Hamas.

The Israeli military has also been systematically targeting hospitals across the enclave and pulling them out of commissions, including two hospitals in the past week.

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced in a statement on Sunday that Israeli troops have been besieging Indonesian hospitals in northern Gaza since dawn.

This means that “the state of panic and confusion among the injured and medical staff has prevailed due to the attack”, which has hindered health care, but there are still very limited resources available.
