Chawinga beat the current Pride score 1-0 on top NWSL teams.

Temwa Chawinga scored his fifth goal of the season, with Kansas City Electric defeating Orlando's Pride 1-0 in the National Women's Football League on Friday night.

The victory is a little bit of the reward for the moment, which was the proud 3-2 elimination in the NWSL playoff semifinals in November. Orlando continues to win the championship.

Portland Thorns beat Houston’s dash 4-1 in other NWSL games Friday, while the San Diego Wave won the game 1-0 on the road against Gotham Football Club. The race between Louisville Racing and Seattle domination was rescheduled for Saturday due to bad weather.

Chawinga scored in the 52nd minute and the home fans at Orlando International with CO Stadium were silent. This is Chawinga's 25th goal in his NWSL career.

The Malawian was misunderstood by proud guard Kylie Nadaner in the box, digging out loose balls and scoring from 10 yards.

Pride tried to shoot 11 shots on the current 12, and Kansas City shot 5-4.

Proud forward Barbra Banda shot the highest five shots, but only one forced the Kansas City goal to save.

The victory maintained the current (7-2-0) first place in the standings, while Pride (5-3-1) fell to third. This is the first time Orlando is out of the top two this season.

Sam Coffey

Sam Coffey converted the free throws and assisted Payton Linnehan with the goal of Thorny players on Texas roads.

Thorns head coach Rob Gale made six changes to his starting lineup in the CONCACAF W Champions League semifinal against Uanl Tigres on Wednesday in Monterrey, Mexico.

Coffey won Portland's third time in the first half stop time free throws. This is the sixth penalty to win the Thorn Award this season, the most in the NWSL.

After resting, Caiya Hanks cut through the wing and bent the ball to the top corner to make it 4-0.

The dash was comforted when Portland defender Sam Hiatt tried to stop Michelle Alozie's shot, but in the 75th minute the ball hit the thorny Nets.
