Ceremony, symbols and installation quality of popemobile Tour Mark Pope Leo Xiv

Vatican City - Vatican City (AP) - Pope Leo Xiv officially opened his purpose at a ceremony on Sunday, which blends ancient rituals, evocative symbols and tributes to modern celebrities, all of whom are in front of the president, princes, princes and thousands of people who expect to pack St. Peter Square to celebrate the first American pope in history.

Leo will start the day with his first tour at Popemobile's Square. This open vehicle has become synonymous with the Pope's global and intermediary lottery draw, a barrier used at home and abroad to bring the Popes close to their flocks.

Pope Francis took his last pop ride here on Easter Sunday, just behind the modified Popemobile, where Francis's coffin was taken to Rome last month to reach its final resting place.

Leo is a 69-year-old Augustine missionary who seems to be timid than Francis. But all eyes were focused on how he managed the pilgrims, tourists and curious seekers, and the baby who inevitably passed on to him to bless him.

After the festival public tour in the square, Leo entered the cathedral and began solemn rituals that kicked off his ministry with a series of rituals that emphasized his request to lead the Catholic Church's services. He first prayed at the tomb of St. Peter (that is considered the tomb of the first pope), under the main altar of the cathedral, and then went to St. Peter's Square for Mass.

A strict diplomatic agreement determines seating arrangements, and both the United States and Peru have won front-row seats due to Leo's dual citizenship. Vice President JD Vance, a Catholic who is struggling with Francis in the Trump administration’s massive immigration deportation program, led the U.S. delegation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte is about a dozen governors, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During Mass, Leo will receive two valid symbols of the Pope: the Lamb stole, known as the pallium and the fisherman's ring. pally draped on his shoulders, symbolizing the priest who carried his flock with the papal's faithfulness. The ring became the official seal of Leo, and it returned to Jesus’ call to the apostle Peter to cast his fishing net.

Another symbolic moment of the masses is a representative ritual of obedience to Leo: Although all cardinals in the past vowed to obey the new pope, the recent papal installation involves representatives of cardinals, bishops, pastors, female priests, deacons, nuns, married couples and young people participating in this ceremony.

In the days since his historical elections, Leo has portrayed some of his key priorities as a pope, emphasizing the message of peace, so it is unclear whether he will use his installation as a missionary statement like some of his predecessors.

During the installation on October 22, 1978, St. John Paul II issued a phrase that became his religious belief, and followed by: "Don't be afraid! Open the door of Christ!"

Pope Benedict XVI quoted his predecessor in his installation on April 25, 2005, and meditated on the symbol of church unity on the pall and fisherman's ring. Francis's installation was on March 19, 2013, with the emphasis on the need to protect the environment, an early hint of one of his religious priorities.

Leo vows to work for the peaceful purpose of war in Ukraine, Gaza and elsewhere. However, as a priority, he also identified the challenge of humanity posed by artificial intelligence, which parallels the challenges faced by the Industrial Revolution on human dignity, which was faced by his eponymous Pope Leo XIII, who was the Pope of 1878-1903.

After the masses are over, Leo will provide the final blessing and then enter the cathedral to greet the cathedral where more than 150 formal delegations attended.

Safety is expected to be tense, as Francis' funeral on April 26 attracted an estimated 250,000 people. Roman authorities plan to have another 250,000 on Sunday. The square and main boulevard lead to the square, with two nearby squares, giant TV screens, and dozens of portable toilets are erected in nearby parks.
