CBP officials seized $87,000 in marijuana disguised as men's work clothes

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in Baltimore found $875,000 in marijuana in shipments disguised as men's work clothes.

According to a CBP press release, officers found more than 200 pounds of psychotropic drugs hidden in 155 vacuum sealed packaging.

The packages filled with medicines are being shipped to Belgium by air cargo and are labeled "Men's/Heavy Duty Workwear Bib's Stand Workwear".

The value of streets in the U.S. is about $875,000, and marijuana may be two to three times the value of Europe, depending on its effectiveness, CBP said.

CBP officials noted in a press release that transnational criminal organizations are trying to ship U.S.-based marijuana to Europe and Africa, "high-quality weeds can make huge profits."

CBP caught a variety of weapons heading to Mexico, including AK-style rifles that were attached to the immigrant's naked breasts

"In the cannabis market, smugglers, including transnational criminal organizations, attempt to generate revenue by illegally exporting bulk goods to global markets," Jason Kropiewnicki, acting district port director for CBP, said in a statement.

The incident is being investigated by the Border Enforcement Security Task Force for Homeland Security Investigation, CBP said.

Each day last year, CBP officials caught an average of 1,571 pounds of drugs in different entry ports across the United States. The release said.
