Catholic groups demand Apple TV+ apologize for the "Eucharist blasphemy" scene

A Catholic group is calling for Apple CEO Tim Cook Apple TV+ asked for an apology in a letter and deleted the "Sacred Prophecy" scene from one of the shows.

Mercer also asked to meet with Cook to discuss how the company promotes “real diversity and tolerance” and called the scene “sapileipious” and asked if Cook would be tolerant of similar content that ridiculed Islamic or Jewish religion. The Catholic investment website calls it a "shocking description of the Eucharist."

"As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is not only a piece of bread," Merther wrote. "It is the body, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.
