Carson Hocevar is quick and doesn't make friends

Ryan Blaney took control of the game with a 116-lap route and then drove into the first victory of the NASCAR Cup Series in the Cracker Barrel 400 on June 1 at Superspeedway in Nashville.

Blaney won Stage 2 but trailed Joey Logano after stopping after the stage break. Blaney then drove the Logano on the 199 lap reboot and took the majority in the last 100 laps.

The final pit-stop cycle was completed under Green, with Blaney leading the way in second place Carson Hocevar and third place Denny Hamlin.

Hocheva finished second for the second time this season and scored a career-best result in the Cup Series.

Here are the winners and losers of the NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday in Nashville:

NASCAR NASHVILLE winners and losers:

Hocevar is the future star of the sport and is always part of the story. Sunday's match was Hocheva's best and worst match, all 300 laps.

In Phase 2, Hocevar struggled to get into round 3, hitting Ricky Stenhouse Jr., spinning No. 47 Chevrolet and entering the wall. Stenhouse didn't end and attributed it to No. 39, then told Amazon in an interview that the retribution might come.

But Hocevar finished the second stage in the second of the top ten and then delayed the strategy to the end after completing about 30 laps in the final pit cycle.

Hocevar ended up not being able to make the lead in Blaney but was able to stop Hamlin from being second. It was his runner-up in Atlanta earlier this season, becoming his best career in the Cup series.

Bubba Wallace needs good results, but may not think he will get one early in the game.

Wallace was punished for speeding at the first stop of the 44th lap. He lost a lap and couldn't recover on the stage.

Wallace did get a free pass on lap 104 as a set of warnings helped the bottom of the running order and then steadily climbed the rankings.

No. 23 Toyota entered the top ten early in the final stage, while Wallace ranked sixth in the final.

Wallace entered Nashville for three consecutive DNFs and fell into the top 10 by 10 points. Sunday's results should help Wallace and his 23XI Racing team actively reset as the second half of the regular season begins this month.

Alex Bowman continued Sunday's poor results in Nashville after he fought alongside Noah Gragson in the second phase.

Bowman's 36th-place finish is his fifth place in 29th or worse in his last seven games, which puts his playoff identity into question, with 12 regular season games left.

To provide a background for Bowman's struggle: he ranked second in Homestead and third in six games. After Nashville, Bowman is ranked 12th in points.

Stenhouse is too progressive at Hocevar on the 106th lap. (This incident happened several times, didn’t it?)

The No. 47 Chevrolet is a consistent model in the entire first 13 games, and although there are only two top ten, there is no end in the game outside the top 25, entering Nashville at point 13.

But Hocheva's contact sent Stenhouse to the wall, leading from the game and rankings and playoff pictures.
