Carlo Ancelotti said on Saturday he could not ask Real Madrid for more information on the signing, and the club is in the midst of a major defensive reconstruction after the club failed to win the main trophy this season.

Madrid rival Barcelona was confirmed as Laliga champion on Thursday after Ancelotti's side had missed the Champions League and Cup Cup Del Rey, defined by a series of injured campaigns.

Madrid has now reacted, announcing the arrival of centre-back Dean Huijsen, right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and have talks with Benfica for left-back álvaro Carreras.

But in a press conference, Ancelotti said he had no regrets about the club's failure to join the team last summer, or after January, major defenders Eder Militão and Dani Carvajal were both excluded from the long term.

"Last year (signing the defender) was not an option," Ancelotti said before Madrid's Laliga game in Seville. "We (David) Alaba (due to injury) are back, Militão and Carvajal are fit, and during the season, these injuries affected us.

“Since I’ve been here, Real Madrid has signed (Eduardo) Camavinga, (Antonio) Rüdiger, (Aurélien) Tchouaméni, (Jude) Bellingham, (Kylian) Mbappé… Can I ask for more?

Madrid enters 4-3 last weekend Classic The defeat in Barcelona effectively ended the championship game without their all-Pick Car, Malitoni, Rudiger and Ferland Mendy’s four games.

However, Ancelotti said the lack of January reinforcements during the bad season in Madrid was not decisive and therefore refused to criticize the club's inaction.

"All the decisions we made were made with me," Ancelotti said. "Last year we had the same problems and we were able to solve them. This year is more difficult...it was an obvious problem. The key is the damage we suffered in defense. Too much for very important players."

Barcelona officially won the championship in a 2-0 victory at Espanyol on Thursday, and Ancelotti said Hansi Flick's side "should win".

"Sometimes, you can't get the most out of your money as everyone on a team," Ancelotti said. "Barcelona is doing a great job and we have to congratulate them. Their consistency is more consistent, and they play very good football."

Ancelotti will leave Madrid for Brazil's national team at the end of the domestic season, and the club has finally settled on Xabi Alonso's deal to take over next month's club World Cup in time.
