CareView Communications, a U.S.-based virtual care solutions provider, has entered into a three-year business agreement with the Group Procurement Organization (GPO) HealthTrust Procurement Team.
Headquartered in Tennessee, HealthTrust works with 1,800 health systems and hospitals to help its providers manage expenses and improve performance.
The partnership aims to provide “immediate and sustainable” savings to these hospitals and health systems.
Sandra McRee, Chief Operating Officer, Careview Communications, said: “Our GPO relationship is a key part of our business model, enabling us to scale products and services in a simplified and cost-effective way.
“By reaching agreements with GPOs like HealthTrust, we can minimize overhead costs and work with hospitals that want to adopt cutting-edge virtual sitting and virtual care solutions.”
The protocol with HealthTrust is expected to build on Careview’s virtual care solution that involves reassigning tasks to virtual registered nurses (VRNS).
This approach aims to reduce the workload of bedside nurses and optimize the use of resources.
Since 2017, Careview has been part of the Health Trust organizational network.
The company is based in Texas and has provided virtual care solutions to more than 200 hospitals in the United States to date.
"Our GPO channel provides important synergy between Careview and current and potential customers," said Patrick Conte, vice president of sales at Careview Communications.
“When potential customers see consistency with GPOs, they know they are working with reviewed vendors and presenting results in their solutions area.”
Earlier this year, Careview Communications reached a commercial agreement with Alaska Local Medical Center to improve patient safety by using virtual care solutions.
The Alaska Local Medical Center serves Alaska Natives and American Indians, including a 182-bed hospital and medical professional suite.
Last December, Careview partnered with Confluence Health, a Washington healthcare provider network, to improve patient safety.
