Cameron Brink at Kelsey Plum

Los Angeles spark star Cameron Brink recently discovered herself in unexpected circumstances, thanks to her new teammate Kelsey Plum.

In her latest episode of her podcast, “Straight to Cam,” Brink drives an unsettling moment as she sweats in front of thousands.

That moment happened at a youth authorization event held at Sofi Stadium. Brink and the plum should appear on the panel together. But, as Brink shared, the long team meeting before the event was temporarily held.

"It's a great girl event, like empowering youth," Brink said. "We had a team meeting before the event. The meeting was for a long time. We came from the meeting - I think it's Sofi Stadium. I can't even tell you where I'm. I'm in a mess right now."

Things got even more tricky when Brink arrived at the stadium in front of the plum blossoms. Without time to prepare, Brink quickly handed over a microphone and pushed it onto the stage alone.

"I walked out and I thought, 'Hey,'" Blink recalled with a smile. “You know, when you look at the crowd, ‘Hey, what are you all doing?’ That’s how you feel.

Brink added pressure, explaining that the crowd was not just a few hundred, but 6,000. When her co-host Sydel Curry-Lee asked, "What are you doing to talk in front of 600 people? Like, I'm just thinking about it," Brink quickly corrected her. "That's 6,000. I'm kind of shy away."

Plum, who was sensationally traded to Sparks earlier this year, was late and left Brink to cope with the focus alone. Despite the stressful moments, Brink managed to get through, showing that she was growing confidence on and off the court.

Sparks entered a season of change, with Plum joining a young squad including Rickea Jackson and Brink.

Plum has been calling for her excitement in Los Angeles, telling the Los Angeles Times: "It's a new leaf in leadership and investment in the franchise in many different ways. That's why I decided to come here."

Brink is also expected to return from an ACL injury in June, and he is excited about his future situation - even if that means handling more surprises along the way.
