Indiana boom star Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly popular ahead of the 2025 WNBA season, and the league’s commissioners held any debate on Thursday.

Clark and Fever will compete in 41 nationally televised games this season, rather than defending champion New York Freedom.

Fever also announced a direct-to-consumer service with hard streaming after Clark’s memorable rookie season and an unprecedented audience for WNBA games in 2024.

Clark may just be one player in a great basketball player league, but the numbers don't lie.

"It's a balance, but she's a generation of talent," WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said on the Bill Simmons podcast. "No league involves a player, but in this case, Caitlyn brings tens of millions of new audiences into W.

“And it’s undeniable. Not only in the WNBA, but in the world of sports.

Engelbert stressed that balance must be reached due to the potential risk of possible injuries, which suggests that Juju Watkins suffered a knee injury in the Women's NCAA Championship.
