WNBA legend Lisa Leslie praised Caitlin Clark for his impact on the league as the Sharpshooters prepare for a second season of Indiana fever.

The former Los Angeles Sparks Supperstar spoke with Sports Illustr, which was a fever chance to win the WNBA title due to the organization's addition of new head coaches and senior productions in the offseason.

"I just said Caitlin Clark had an amazing impact on the WNBA," Leslie told the media. "Her ability to play out, especially after the college season. And then going to the WNBA and really had the effect she did, which was really great. I'm proud of Caitlin."

On paper, the fever lineup “looks great”, Leslie said. Indiana put Sydney Colson, Sophie Cunningham and Dewanna Bonner on the roster and rehired Stephanie White as their new head coach.

Basketball Hall of Fame members say that as the roster accumulates and expectations improves, the pressure is also increased.

"So when you talked about Caitlyn in your sophomore year, she was experienced and she had time to rest. She had time to reorganize and look exactly where she wanted to go," Leslie said. "Obviously, there were a lot of new players (fever) and a new coach. It also created a lot of stress. It was hard to win. Winning the first year is not easy because you get a new coach, a new teammate, and you are trying to build that chemistry. I don't want to put too much pressure on it. I think they look great when Indiana has a fever.

"And I'm not saying they can't. All-Stars are there in Indiana. Layout. Caitlin has time to really deal with the look of the WNBA, what it looks like. It's going to be exciting. I'm sure the fans will sell out. Everything has sold out. And, when Caitlin comes to town, they've gradually become a lot of things.

Clark did not participate in the American women's national basketball team that participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, it seems like a disguised blessing, as she seems to be more in sync with her fever teammates after the Olympic break than at the beginning of the regular season.

Indiana made its first playoff game in 2024 since 2016, when White remained the head coach. The fever ended 20-20 in 2024 and brought back key players like Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, Natasha Howard and Lexie Hull.
