Caitlin Clark, demolishes Brazilian national team in WNBA preseason

Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever joined the Brazil National Team in their second WNBA preseason this year.

The old stomping ground of Clark and Iowa Hawkeyes, Carver-Hawkeye Arena, is the venue for this special preseason showdown, and the NCAA's all-time leading scorer feels welcome again.

In a 108-44 victory, Clark scored 16 points on 6 of 10 shots while pulling out 5 assists and gathering 6 rebounds in her 18:42 minutes.

Clark did not compete in the team's opening game against Washington Mystics due to a leg injury, but she looked locked in on her first move in 2025.

And, of course, she poured three-pointers from the Hawkeye logo just like she did in college.

Clark was one of four starters with fever, scoring double-digit points in the game, including Kelsey Mitchell, a leading scorer of 17 points, while also scoring three steals.

Aliyah Boston, who built a good rapport with during his rookie of the year campaign, scored 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Some newcomers with fever, Dewanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham also contributed to the Brazilian rout.

As a team, Fever scored an impressive 15 goals from 33 goals outside the arc, marking a 45.5% shot from the field goal by a three-pointer. They also let Brazil turn the ball 26 times and demonstrated their defensive ability early this year.

The fever ended their preseason schedule and started Saturday's showdown with Atlanta Dream before they faced Angel Rees and Chicago Sky on May 17.
