Bruinsky is drawing all acquisitions of social internet

Are you all these CEOs or Bluesky’s ideas when you talk about the new ecosystem of this app?

I'm just the CEO of Bluesky Social. We have built the protocol and maintained the Bluesky application, but the protocol will enjoy its own life. Parts of it will be standardized, parts of it will be managed by the community, and as new friends shape it, it will move in a different direction.

If one of the apps is going to blow up and go beyond the blues, will it help or hurt your business?

This will help us - because you still remember these are shared backends.

Assume that the video application Skylight is large. How does a shared backend become relevant?

This means you can also view all of these videos on Bluesky. This may change the way people interact on the blues, because all of this content comes from another app. In addition, one of the monetization paths we mentioned is developer services.

How do you plan to make money?

Subscription is coming soon. The next step is to look at which markets can cover these different applications. Other applications in the ecosystem are trying to sponsor posts, etc. I think advertising ends up working on some form of effort, but we won't advertise like traditional social apps do. We're going to have people experiment and see what's going on.

A large number of creators have poured into the Blues, but they have no direct way to make their work profitable. Do you want to change?

We provide them with huge traffic that can be turned into money. One big thing is that we don't link downwards, so if you're the creator of YouTube, or you have Patreon, and you posted those links on Bluesky, you'll get higher link traffic even with a smaller follower count. This is true for small creators and even news organizations. We've heard from big news organizations that the Blues have better clicks and better subscription rates. (wired This can be guaranteed: the platform has become the top traffic driver and source for new subscribers.)

Democratic stars such as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton also joined Bruinsky. Do you do anything to court celebrities and influencers?

We are doing some community promotion. We're seeing a lot of attractive industries like maybe not that big celebrities rather than sports media. Sports journalist Mina Kimes came and created a starter pack that quickly attracted a lot of followers. We have game developers, we have sports, we have science.

Will you welcome President Trump?

Yes - Bluesky is for everyone and we believe that over time, the wider public conversation will need to be conducted in public agreement. This allows people to choose their own temperance preferences. We think it is flexible enough to serve all use cases and everyone.

We are at the moment when freedom of speech is threatened. What do you think?

I think that the foundation based on open agreements is the most lasting foundation of speech. We are creating a digital share of user data where you can control your identity and data. We are building infrastructure, and I hope that's a long time. The app Bluesky is just a site where speeches can occur.
