The Cleveland Browns began a rookie small training camp on Friday, with rookie quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders playing for the first time.
Gabriel was selected in the third round, while Sanders was selected in the fifth round after an unprecedented slide. Gabriel received his first game of the day, but head coach Kevin Stefanski warned that it was too much.
"Yes, I can't see anything," Stefansky said through Brown's transcript.

"I think you'll see the whole weekend, the whole spring experience. I mean, we won't be paying attention to who's in the first snapshot."
Stefanski said he thought "both were doing well" but did not promise who would get his first snapshot in Saturday's practice.
The Browns head coach stressed not to look at “too much”, who will receive the first inning and the team has a plan.

"There is a lot of time between now and September, so we're going to have a plan. But it's an all-inclusive assessment. It's not something based on practice representation. There's a lot of it."
The Browns have five quarterbacks in their roster, without a clear Week 1 starter. Deshaun Watson once again ruptured the Achilles tendon in January after undergoing surgery for the same tendon in October 2024, and his position in the upcoming season is questionable.

The Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles and signed a one-year contract ahead of the NFL draft. With Gabriel and Sanders in the already packaged quarterback room, it remains to be seen who will get a Week 1 nod.
