Britain, France and Canada threaten to take "specific action" against Israel if it does not stop its new military offensive in Gaza and raise restrictions on aid as its military doubled in the deadly battle in the enclave.
"We strongly oppose the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza. The human suffering of the Gaza people is unbearable," said a joint statement issued by state leaders (Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Mark Carney) on Monday, which also condemned the expansion of the West Bank settlements, the expansion of the West Bank settlements, the war for the "target people".
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ruled Gideon's tanks in early March to control all Gaza and accused the three countries of providing "huge prizes" to the Palestinian Group (Hamas), which currently holds Israeli prisoners of Zens.
The three leaders slammed Netanyahu's move the day before, "insufficient" to bring several trucks into besieged enclaves amid a nearly three-month lockdown, warning that the Israeli government risked violating international humanitarian law. Israel reportedly allowed only a few trucks on Monday.
They said they would not be "on stand by" when Israel takes "serious action", which emphasizes "the language of hatred" that draws Palestinians from Gaza people used by members of the Israeli government, such as Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and stresses that forced displacement is illegal.
Palestinian ambassador to the United Kingdom Husam Zumlot told Al Jazeera that the "first" that the three countries can do is to impose weapons on Israel. "The UK has taken some measures to suspend some arms exports. That's not enough. It has to be full of all," he said.
Zumlot also said that states should take action to ensure that “war criminals” are “responsible.” "They must absolutely support our efforts in the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice," he said.
Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian Territory, questioned how the threatened sanctions will be targeted. "Who are you going to impose sanctions on the state. It has nothing to do with the Prime Minister. It's the entire government business," she told Al Jazeera on Monday.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Tuesday that partial lifting of Israel's lockdown on Monday was "completely insufficient."
He told France Inter Radio that “abused violence and the Israeli government’s blocking of humanitarian aid” turned the surrounded territory into a “death trap.”
Al Jazeera's Hamdah Salhut reported on the Jordanian capital Amman, questioning whether international pressure would have a big impact on Netanyahu, pointing out that his previous intentions were intended to move forward until “absolute victory” and his country believed his country was fighting a “civilized war against barbarism.”
"They said the ever-expanding military offensive was the only way for them to move forward," she said.
The three leaders said 23 countries, including the UK, France and Canada, issued a joint statement urging Israel to bring aid into Gaza, warning the population to face "hunger."
Humanitarian aid should never be politicized to be politicized in Israel’s “new model” of aid, which will allow the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to provide supplies under Israeli military protection, a statement issued on Monday said.
"This puts beneficiaries and aid workers at risk, undermines the role and independence of the United Nations and our trusted partners, and links humanitarian aid to political and military goals," the statement said.
Al Jazeera reported in Amsterdam, Netherlands that the statement was issued ahead of the EU Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, and that the group of trade agreements with Israel are expected to be under scrutiny.
“What we’re seeing is a transformation that took place a year and a half after the ongoing bombing of Gaza in Gaza, which has led to strong public outcry,” she said.
Human rights group Amnesty International said that in genocide, the world has occupied nearly 80 days of broadcast hunger and cruelty in genocide, which is "extremely and morally reprehensible" to put pressure on Israel to raise its siege.
As the world focuses on Israel, the military intensifies its deadly attack, killing more than 73 people since midnight, including at least three children killed by drone fires in Khan Yunis refugee camp.
According to medical staff, the killings were a day in a violent Israeli attack, killing at least 126 Palestinians.
