Francesca Moody Productions, the studio behind blockbuster dramas Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, will bring Tim Crouch to Tim Crouch's seminal play An Oak Tree comes to London's The Young Vic Theatre, bringing together heavyweights including Sope Dirisu Cast. "Gangs of London"), Michelle Terry ("The Tribe"), Luke Thompson ("Bridgerton"), Russell Tovey ("American Horror Story: New York") and Indy Ra Varma (Game of Thrones).

Guest performers will only be announced to the live audience on the night of their respective performances.
"An Oak Tree" pioneered the form of "cold reading" in drama, telling the story of a father who lost his daughter in a car accident and later met the stage hypnotist who caused his daughter's death when he volunteered to perform as a hypnotist. Since its premiere in 2005, the show has hosted more than 350 different guest artists around the world, including Frances McDormand, Geoffrey Rush, Sharon D. Clark, Alanis Morissette, Sophie Okonedo and Peter Dinklage.
"Exactly 20 years ago, a laboratory was set up in a small room above a pub in south London and an experiment was conducted there," Crouch said. "The actors were invited to try out a new play I wrote, An Oak Tree - it was like trying out a new drug formula. It was a different actor each time, and they had no idea what they were going to do. — Every time it’s a blind test, for some the drug is euphoric, for some it’s riotous. It's hard work for some people, but it's absolutely fascinating."
The production continues the sales momentum of Francesca Moody Productions, which has produced Fleabag and Reindeer Babies, two of the most popular TV series of the decade, with stage-to-screen expertise. The company's credits include Weather Girls at the Soho Theater in London, Feeling Scared Like Something Terrible Is About to Happen touring major Australian venues including the Sydney Opera House, and The Old Victoria in Bristol "How to Defeat History" performed by the Grammar Theater.
"I'm excited to join the 'Oak' family and be part of a production that I think is the best thing about going to the theater, which is, something that actually happens in front of you, rather than in front of you," Thompson said. ” instead of filtering through a screen. I want to say more, but I don’t know what I’m going to do…”
The production marks a significant moment for The Young Vic as it will form part of the 2025/26 season under new Artistic Director Nadia Fall, with its first show scheduled for late this spring Announced at some time.
