Brent Bozell, founder of the Center for Media Research, quits as the group acquires new leadership

The Media Research Center (MRC) announced on Monday that its president and founder Brent Bozell III will resign in 38 years.

David Bozell, vice president of growth and development at MRC, will take over as president of the respected conservative media regulator on May 27.

“It has always been a lifelong honor to build a center for media studies,” Brent Bozell said in a statement. “It was initially a mission to expose media bias, to hold the press accountable, to defend the truth, and to give millions of Americans a voice. I am very proud of everything we have built, and I am confident in David and the team in this work that will move this work forward. The struggle for American culture is far from that.

Brent Bozell, who was nominated as the next U.S. ambassador to South Africa in March by President Donald Trump, will leave the MRC for diplomatic position.

The study found that ABC, NBC and CBS Slap Trump had a negative coverage of 92% for the second semester method of Day 100.

MRC Board Chairman Karl Ottosen thanked Bozell for setting up an institution to hold the media accountable.

"Brent Bozell's vision changed the landscape of the American media," Otterson said. "He voiced to millions of people who felt neglected, and he built an institution that made the press less responsible as everyone else. On behalf of the board, we are very grateful for his leadership and legacy. We are equally confident that David Bozell is the right person to lead the MRC and can take the MRC to the next chapter.

Brent's son David Bozell served as president of many and his House of Representatives before taking over as president of the MRC. He also serves on the Conservative Action Program (CAP) Coordination Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Washington Institute of Policy.

In a statement, he praised his father's work at the MRC, which is dedicated to exposing and analyzing biases in the free media.
