Break down the official list of visitors for USC’s large recruitment weekend

USC made a midweek campus visit this month by hosting a busy official visit to Jet Washington (Las Vegas, Nevada), but this crucial month of June did make serious for the Trojans on Friday, with a large number of official visits this weekend with several outstanding targets returning.

USC (USC) leads the curve in this recruitment cycle, already collecting 27 commitments — eight more than any other program — while soaring to No. 1 in the competitor team recruitment rankings.

So, in theory, a lot of the job has been done for the staff – but anyone following up with the recruitment knows that this is the case until the prospect can officially sign in December.

General Manager Chad Bowden made it clear that the University of Southern California (USC) will sign its largest class in program history, so that means the Trojans want to continue to add the big base of their 2026 commitments, while also continuing to work to keep those commitments in place.

One reason to believe that there may be fewer retirements than in previous years - USC fans have learned to hesitate to take on anything before the cycle ends - Bowden and coach Lincoln Riley have made it clear that if prospects promise, they hope that means players won't make official visits anywhere else.

The policy has resulted in several retirements last month in four-star catcher Kohen Brown and four-star guard Xavier Griffin, but that has also led to many USC publicly saying that recruitment is indeed closed, which should mean that most of these classes are intact.

Nonetheless, official visits are as important to the delegation as uncommitted goals to further consolidate the status.

That being said, this is a breakdown of the campus of Trojans this weekend.

Unresolved targets

Five-star receiver Boobie Feaster made four official visits, starting with a trip to Alabama last weekend, with plans to travel to LSU and Texas A&M later this month.

At this point, USC is likely to be four quarters on the list, but in a formal visit, anything can change – especially at zero, and how each school prioritizes and values recruits. If the Trojans don't seriously want to fulfill his promise, they won't host Whitst, so we'll learn more about their opportunities after this weekend.

The Trojan has four wide receiver submissions, four-star Trent Mosley and three-star Tron Baker, Roderick Tezeno and Luc Weaver. There is a compelling upside for all, but Feaster is at a different level and if it can find a way to add him to that group, it will be a coup for the USC.

For now, we'll say it's a long time, but let's see what happened this weekend...

Four-star Jalen Lott is another elite receiver in Texas, and the Trojans spend a lot of time recruiting. He was last on campus in late April and returned this weekend, possibly the last official speech of the Trojan Horse and a speech to him and his family.

Lott has made official visits to Colorado, Georgia and Louisiana State University (LSU) and will visit Texas later this month (he is being recruited as cornerback) and Oregon.

Competitor recruitment analyst Sam Spiegelman believes LSU, Oregon and Texas are the leaders he recruits, but Lott has had a lot of time building relationships with the coaching staff, so that’s not over yet.

Four-star guard Talanoa ILI is one of the most important goals of USC, in terms of filling the remaining needs of such classes (especially after Xavier Griffin’s retirement), and because the Trojans are in a very strong position in recruiting.

Ili recently moved from Southern California to Kahuku, Hawaii, but he is essentially a local prospect, with the U.S. and UCLA appearing to be his recruiting favorites. He has travelled to campus several times this year and has returned for important visits this weekend as USC staff will convince him that this is where he belongs.

Here’s what Adam Gorney, the National Recruitment Director, said about USC’s opportunities with ILI:

"His father told me that it was basically UC and UCLA. He did fall in love with UCLA family. They had a long way to go about recruiting on his Mother's Day weekend, but you just don't see a lot of people, especially at the linebacker, especially the guys in Polynesia, especially at UCLA rejection for UCLA, especially if USC wants them to be bad. "I think Oregon is a bit slowing down, I just can't see Oklahoma happening, so it's going to be a homeland situation and I think it's really a big shutdown for him." ”

Four-star guard Peyton Dyer retired from South Carolina after a few days after his informal visit to USC. Coincidentally or not, the Trojan has become a real factor in his recruitment in recent months.

That said, Georgia State, within Georgia, made Dyer a top priority for cornerbacks during its first official visit last weekend, and the feeling seemed to be mutual.

"I'm saying now, I'm the top school I'm talking to now," Dell told Georgia's competitors.

So the Trojans seem to have had an uphill battle here, and they are also arguably the best cornerbacks in the country, with five-star Elbert Hill, rivals 100 outstanding Brandon Lockhart, four-star Madden Riordan (which can play multiple positions in the secondary) and three-star Josh Josh Holland. Even the elite four-star crime album RJ preaching has been reclassified recently as Class 2025.
