Metropolitan outfielder Brandon's Nemo The loss to the Rattlers on Tuesday suffered damage.
In the fourth game, Nimmo Lourdes Gurriel Jr. The ball grabbed from the corner and Nemo seemed to adjust the direction of his knee changing. manager Carlos Mendoza The club coach went to Nimmo, who stretched and massaged his knees and jogged a few feet. Nimmo convinced his manager to let him stay and the outfielder finished the entire race.
"I don't know if the spikes were stuffed there by the turf, and Nimmo Hyprexterxte had knees there. We're going to have the doctor see him," Mendoza said after the game. "He can manage it. He is stable and obviously finished the gameā¦I am not too worried as of now, but let's see what the doctor said."
The knee Nimmo made adjustments to his left hand, not his right knee that was injured during spring training. It was a plus, but shortly after the injury, Nemo looked compromised on the left field. He watched in pain as he ran the ball cautiously, slowing down to catch the fly ball. But in his last bat, he was excited and smiled and talked to the home plate referee.
"He is smart, he knows himself better than anyone else." Mendoza talks about Nemo. "He won't take risks. The coach checked him and he finished the game."
"(Knees are good for the most part. I think we dodged the bullets, that's great," Nemo said after the game. "I felt it overstretched when I went to get the ball and was lucky enough to get rid of it quickly and prevented from causing more damage.
"We will learn about the situation over the next 12 hours or so. I hope to compete."
Nimmo said his footing made him feel like he was on a trampoline double when he tried to figure out how the ball would take off the wall. But the veteran outfielder was evaluated by the team doctor and concluded that his knees felt stable.
"(The doctor) just said, watching the replay, looking at the knees, we dodged the bullets," Nemo said. "It could be worse. We will see it as a good thing. Dodging something that might be worse."
The Mets ended their three-game series with the Rattlers on Wednesday afternoon.
